Circle Hooks
December 21, 2009
If you’re pursuing tuna and other hefty big blue-water fish then circle hooks are the way to go, this Circle Sea-style hook is constructed of rust-resistant stainless steel for long-lasting strength and rust resistance. Flat forged, these 4X hooks have a special 6° offset to lock into the jaws of fish. Each Owner fish hook also sports a ringed eye and sharp needle tips. We’ve had many other brands on our charter, most were lost at sea with prize fighting fish that we regret to mention.
“The only stainless steel circle hook I could find was the Owner Ringed mutu hook. Turns out, its excellent for bluefish. Super strong and very durable. This hook took on the most aggressive fish on our charter. the hooks were many and the loss were few. I saw more guys endure the tougher fights and they pulled in prize fighters. Other hooks would have bent or yanked right out – These guys had a great time and rebooked for the next run!”
These extra-heavy, 3X-strong forged hooks have a deep throat bend for positive hookset, as well as a sharp Cutting Point™. Excellent for rigging large baits on skirts.
These are very good hooks their penetration is among the best,Never had one brake or straighten on me. Compare very favorably to the most expensive hooks on the market. “ I thought maybe we were going to lose this feisty bast*** that I was fighting for 45 minutes out off Cabo , but the hook was set in deep enough he couldn’t shake me. My other fear was that it would rip him up pretty good – but, it all worked out good. I suggest these because they don’t straighten in a tough fight and the
Keeper rate is higher not as many lost at sea. We picked up the value pack because we knew there would be a bunch of crappy hooks brought on to the boat that would be lost in the first half of the day out. No way was I going to have a bunch of charter guys standing around defeated. These hooks were reliable and rewarding !
